Our Team

The Travel &Meeting Services team is a benchmark operation with a highly consultativeapproach to achieving the organizations travel and meeting services needs in arapidly growing and complex environment. The team's mission is to provideindustry expertise in support of Cigna's business initiatives. Deliverinnovative tools, technology and spend management controls to effectivelymanage programs while insuring policy compliance and due diligence, enablingour customers to focus on core responsibilities.

The Cigna Travel& Meeting Services team is comprised of several areas of knowledgeexpertise; Travel management US Markets, Travel Management internationalMarkets, Travel management, Executive services, Meeting Service Management,T&E policy, Sports & Special Events, Travel Communications, Financial& Contract compliance. These areassupport all of Cigna business initiative globally including product, sales andservice operations. This is a high visibility team that interfaces with toplevel executives, customers, brokers, all levels of employees and a largenumber of vendors. Our Role

The Travel Manager ? Global Programs is an individual contributor rolefocused on supporting the growth, demands and unique needs for our domesticmarkets. This key role is a strategicleadership role, managing projects, processes, operational and implementationaspects of travel through a matrix global team. Key skills in analysis, reporting, negotiations and relationshipbuilding while managing performance results metrics are essential. Thisposition will support the Director of Global Travel & Meeting Services inprogram management and support of our global operations. The Travel Manager will review, evaluate andanalyze for business needs, opportunities, and trends to support Cigna'srequirements. They will be the driver ofdaily corporate based operations with strategic travel leadershipresponsibilities, vendor management and service procurement. Using theirexpertise in global solutions and service delivery, they will work closely withmany levels of business partners, while building alliances with key travelleaders and suppliers throughout the world. A self-directed leader who willpossess strong analytical and strategic management skills to research andbenchmark service offerings, performance trends and evaluate business analyticsto build programs and services.

A Day In The Life Of A Travel Manager May Include:

* Developing comprehensive, analytic reports, based on serviceperformance metrics and market intelligence, across a diverse internationalgroup.

* Partnering closely with a matrix team across theorganization, leveraging their expertise when managing projects, evaluatingtrends, reporting and issues resolution.

* Driving the planning, scheduling and delivery of processimprovements.

* Assembling data needed for development and execution ofstrategic plans, to optimize and enhance service performance delivery within aglobal framework.

* Manage business program success and vendor performancereviews.

* Sharing critical expertise and knowledge to support goalsand objectives.

* Leveraging knowledge of travel service platforms, operationsperformance metrics and other business travel operations work streams.

* Differentiating Cigna Travel & Meeting Services as abest in class program through a comprehensive understanding of the industry andthe market, synthesizing competitive intelligence to understand futureimplications, and proactively communicating trends, innovations, and bestpractices to internal partners and leadership.

* Identifying opportunities to leverage additional tools andservices to benefit Cigna.

* Providing guidance in the assessment of goals and strategiesin order to optimize individual operations and service delivery.

* Owning responsibility for the financial success of the UStravel programs.

Our Ideal CandidateWill Offer:

* 7 years global travel management experience working in amid-large, global organization

* Extensive corporate travel management, procurement andoperations experience

* Global integration and project management experience

* Process improvement experience, financial managementexperience

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, advanced degree aplus

* Strong analytics, superior communications and presentationskills (including complete self-sufficiency in Excel, PowerPoint).


* Extraordinary communications capability across all levels ofthe organization, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
