We’re OperationsInc, a human resources consulting firm located in Norwalk, CT. A client of ours, Direct Wines, Inc. a direct Marketing Company that works with licensed wine retailers throughout the U.S, is seeking a Marketing Analyst for their dynamic organization. We have been retained to assist them in their efforts to secure the most qualified candidate

The Role

This position will assist in the development of marketing plans to support all recruitment marketing initiatives and ensure that appropriate metrics are in place to allow the team to make informed decisions.  Working closely with the marketing team, media buying partner, production, finance and wine teams, you’ll gather information and develop key insights for all recruitment marketing campaigns leveraging an integrated marketing approach. This position is for a current Analyst looking to take the next step into a more Senior role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Marketing Analysis

  • Assist in the development of marketing budgets and campaign plans
  • Develop ROI reports/dashboards that communicate marketing performance to key stakeholders within the organization
  • Work with members of the marketing team to identify actionable, revenue-generating opportunities through thoughtful analysis of marketing campaign performance and costs
  • Work with Finance team to generate and analyze lifetime value reports monthly
  • Utilize Google Analytics and other tools to analyze the impact of marketing initiatives and identify levers to improve campaign performance and customer experience
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to define needed analysis or special ad-hoc reports


  • Assist Marketing Director with preparation for monthly meetings with Senior Management to review spend and order position
  • Work with marketing team members to compile data for business partner presentations
  • Provide weekly sales commentary for management meeting

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing
  • 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in direct response
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects, while
    completing quality work on a timely basis
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced, changing environment 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and be a self starter
  • A sense of urgency
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
