Inline Plastics seeks Safety Coordinator EHS Manager for the Shelton CT Manufacturing Plant. Reports directly to the Plant Manager with Dotted Line to Corp EHS Manager.

Summary Performs environmental, safety and health activities in industrial plants or at external sites to evaluate and control environmental and safety hazards by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Arranges for all testing of interior and exterior of facilities, including but not limited to noise levels and measures air quality.
Designs all related programs in compliance with federal, state, and local statutes
Directs the activities of the environmental management system and of the environmental, health and safety teams.
Oversees the environmental management system.
Oversees the various training programs in the organization. Trains employees on environmental, safety and health requirements to ensure compliance with regulations.
Oversees field activities and monitors for environmental, health and safety violations.
Enforces use of personal protective and safety equipment.
Monitors decontamination of personnel leaving hazardous work zones.
Develops and monitors emergency action and fire prevention plans.
Directs the investigation of accidents/incidents and monitors accident reports.
Identifies potential causes for accidents/incidents and recommends changes in policies and procedures to prevent accidents and illness.
Assists management to prepare environmental, safety and health budget.
This job has supervisory responsibilities over the Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; with 5 to 10 years related experience.
