Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services and Medical Director, the Clinical Services Manager (RN) will be responsible for planning and overseeing the work performed by Care Managers, Referral Coordinators and Clinical Administrative staff. Company Description Healthcare Company Job Description The Clinical Services Manager (RN) will: * Plan, organize and manage care management activities and utilization management * Act as First Line Manager to designated clinical staff and provide training and support to Clinical Services staff to ensure appropriate performance of their duties * Identify staff development and training needs and ensure that training is obtained * Oversee direct reporting staff scheduling, including days off and days working remotely * Provide leadership in clinical problem solving and identify and help to resolve issues of clinical practice * Collaborate with Clinical Services staff and internal and external stakeholders to develop relevant policies and procedures * Serve as liaison between multiple clinical and nonclinical (internal and external) stakeholders * Provide on-going support to members related to service coordination, grievance and appeals, claims inquiry, social services, etc * Meet with Physician representatives to identify member problems/concerns, as necessary * Coordinate and lead biweekly clinical rounds and case reviews * Handle other duties, as needed Required Skills * 5+ years of experience working with the Geriatric population * Associate's Degree in Nursing * NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license * Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs * Knowledge and understanding of current Healthcare market and best practices * Knowledge and experience with Community Organizations, Social Services, and Public Resources * Previous experience in a Supervisory and/or Management capacity * Exceptional assessment, clinical, and documentation skills * Patient oriented * Solid problem solving and time management skills * Great interpersonal skills * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong attention to detail * Highly organized * Able to multitask efficiently and effectively Desired Skills * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing * Working knowledge of Interqual
