Position Summary

The Molecular Biology and Bioassay group in the Therapeutic Proteins Department seeks an individual with solid trainings in molecular biology, basic protein biology and cell culture. The candidate should be experienced with molecular cloning techniques, synthetic biology tools, PCR, Sanger sequencing, cell culture, transient transfection and Westernblots.


Design and generate DNA constructs in support of antibody discovery pipeline and bioassay development

Perform transient transfection and Westernblot analysis to assess protein expression

Perform quality control analysis. Working knowledge of synthetic biology tools and software packages (Macvector, Sequencher) is a plus.


B.S or M.S degree in Molecular Biology or related field with 2-3 years of molecular biology lab experience

Experience with cell culture and protein assay

Strong organization and time-management skills required

Comfortable with a fast-faced team work environment and capable of multi-tasking

General computer skills such as Microsoft Office are required, and experience with sequence analysis and synthetic biology tools (Macvector, Sequencher) is preferred

1 year of molecular biology lab experience is required. Candidates who have previously worked in a high-throughput environment are preferred.
