Serves as the focal point to the CEO on strategic planning and business development including practice growth, network integrity, evaluating and completing practice acquisition as appropriate. Working in collaboration with NEMG Executive Team and System resources, this leader coordinates the development of NEMG strategic plans. This includes determining financial and operational feasibility of practice acquisitions and practice growth. Must be able to direct due diligence teams and participate in the transition and addition of practices to NEMG. Must be able to analyze complex information and communicate results to management and physicians. Must be able to execute practice due diligence and transition plans. Directs other information and analysis requests as required for both internal and external purposes. Directs the business planning process and due diligence process related to the acquisition and development of physician practices and the growth of existing practices. Works collaboratively with Clinical, Operational and Financial leadership for the same. * 2. Has extensive knowledge of reimbursement processes, including government calculations, managed care contracting and how that information flows through the billing system, cost accounting system and accounting system for physician practices and hospitals. * 3. Directs the development of practice business models. * 4. Identifies cost savings or revenue improvement opportunities and takes an active lead with implementing enhancements in developing financial models for the practices. * 5. Directs and conducts due diligence and transition of physician practices to NEMG. * 6. Assumes lead position for meetings centered on financial issues involving practice acquisitions and development of physician practices. * 7. Serves as the key contact to Corporate Planning, Business Development and Capital Planning. * 8. Coordinates NEMG marketing and branding activities working with System Marketing resources including the development of an annual marketing plan and budget. * 9. Leads NEMG provider recruitment, planning and manages recruitment. * 10. Manages the process for the onboarding of new providers working in collaboration with Finance, HR and NEMG Operations. * 11. Designs and develops, implements and monitors plans to improve Network Integrity across NEMG * 12. Member of NEMG Senior Leadership and CEO Team. * 13. Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as requested. * 14. Establishes and maintains good relations with NEMG, YNHHS hospitals, and physician practice leaders, as well as, financial, operational, human resource staff in performance of duties. * 15. Promotes philosophy of positive customer relations. * 16. Directs and works collaboratively with external resources as needed. * 17. Proven ability to structure and prioritize work to achieve specific deliverables in an environment of tight deadlines. * 18. Manages the Business Development Team including physician liaison, onboarding, recruitment and practice integration. * 19. Performs other duties as directed/required Masters degree in Management, Finance or related field required. EXPERIENCE Minimum seven (7) years of experience with physician practice, finance and operations of which a minimum of three (3) in management is required. Prior experience in practice acquisition and mergers highly desired. SPECIAL SKILLS Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels within the System & physician groups. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct, organize, prioritize and direct multiple projects. Must exercise creativity and initiative in making recommendations with the ability to influence the thinking of others. Word processing, spreadsheet and general PC skills are required. Knowledge and experience in the physician practice and hospital industry and health care industry required. IT experience preferred. PHYSICAL DEMAND MMR is required. Varivax (chicken pox vaccine) or evidence of prior chicken pox is required. Hepatitis B (or signed declination) is required for those with potential exposure to blood/body fluids. Tdap and influenza vaccination are strongly encouraged.
