Newtown Savings Bank is hiring for a  Part-Time Teller in our Shelton branch.  This position will perform a full range of Teller duties while creating a welcoming customer friendly environment.  The Teller will provide prompt and courteous service to customers involving receipt and payment of cash, as well as recognize customer's needs and suggest appropriate banking services.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Have excellent math skills.

  • Microsoft Office experience.

  • Ability to listen well and follow detailed instructions.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Cash handling, customer service, and sales experience.



  • Typical office environment

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

  • May require working in a standing position for continuous periods of time
