Sodexo is looking for a strong Food Operations Manager 1 in New York City, NY

Sodexo is seeking a results driven, highly motivated Food Operations Manager 1 to join our food services health-care team at Lenox Hill Hospital.The Food Operations Manager 1 for a Temporary Regional Operations Support role (ROSI) in NY City. The Operations Manager will be responsible for day to day oversight of retail, patient food service satisfaction, and the operational effectiveness at the unit. Lenox Hill Hospital is a 434 bed hospital which is part of Northwell Health-care system you will oversee all food operations supervising a team of hospital employees who are dedicated to helping patients achieving optimum health and wellness.

This position will have a duration of up to 12 months with the ability to post to permanent roles during this time frame.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Over-site of 140+ employees in the department
* Responsible for identifying process improvement initiatives and overseeing the implementation.
* Ensures that employees demonstrate an active customer hospitality orientation toward both patients and customers.
* Integrate fully within our client's organization by becoming a trusted adviser with a customer service focus.
* Responsible for driving patient satisfaction results by regularly analyzes patient satisfaction data and implements a plan of action in these areas to achieve optimal unit performance.
* Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
* Must meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.
* Creates a positive environment and successfully motivates and manages team.

Position Summary

Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
