Job Description:

Fairfield County-based housewares design brand Teroforma is looking for a DEPENDABLE, PERSONABLE, TASK-FOCUSED, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT to support our sales team at our SOUTH NORWALK HQ. A good role for a seasoned vet as well as for a new graduate, you will play an important part in our sales efforts by handling sales-related administrative tasks so that we can focus on building relationships and meeting our sales targets. Our customer/client roster counts some of the leading names in global design - from MoMA Store (NYC, SF, Tokyo), J Crew, Sur La Table, and West Elm to Selfridge's, Habitat, and Harvey Nichols. You will work closely with our Sales Manager as well as other company colleagues, our US sales reps, and our overseas distributors. The work will be varied, but will generally involve preparing sales reports, interacting with our sales reps and distributors, providing initial responses to new sales leads, scheduling sales calls, sending out mailings, and generally acting as an extension of the sales team. This is NOT a principal sales position, but the administrative work will be focused on helping to support our sales efforts. ResponsibilitiesPreparing sales reportsResponding to customer questionsInteracting with our reps and distributorsPreparing sales materials for meetings and trade showsResponding to new sales leadsScheduling sales calls and meetingsTracking product samples by account and following up to confirm customer receiptActing as an extension of the sales team, especially when representatives are away from the officeWorking with our Purchasing team to advise on product sales trends and relate customer feedbackUndertaking periodic customer research to identify new prospects and new opportunities Desired Skills & ExperienceFirst and foremost, you care about and take pride in the quality of your workYou have very good organizational skills and must be able to work accurately at paceWe hire based on skill set and attitude, so as long as you can show us a High School diploma, anything else is icing on the cakeMore importantly, you need to be smart, efficient, and cleverA good understanding of customer administration will help you succeedStrong verbal, written and interpersonal skills - including excellent telephone skills and clear, accurate, and correct written EnglishResourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detail orientedExcellent time management and problem solving skillsStrong capabilities with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExperience with Quickbooks and Shopify are a plus but not a requirement
