Job Description:

Hamer Laser Instruments is looking for a hard-working individual with a self-starter mentality. The Optical-Mechanical Assembly Technician will have a strong mechanical aptitude and assembly skills, with the desire to contribute to the continued success of Hamar Laser Instruments.


Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly skills.
Soldering ability and basic understanding of electronics a plus.
Ability to read blueprints and work from assembly drawings.
Ability to effectively troubleshoot a mixture of products, repair, reassemble, and test.
Be a self starter, who will work independently on production assemblies and repairs.
Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, multi meters, and other measuring tools.
Have good Computer Skills
Ability to multi-task on a variety of technical jobs while keeping the work organized.
Openness to cross-training within the department to learn other skills and work processes.
Experience with optics a plus.
Ability to work with high-tolerance specifications a plus.
Ability to inspect incoming parts with micrometers a plus.


3+years experience in a high-tech manufacturing plant.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Technical school diploma a plus.
