Retail Sales Trainer Location: Open from the Northeast out to IL The primary function of a Retail Sales Trainer is to develop, plan, coordinate and facilitate training classes by establishing and executing training modules designed to educate and maintain sales professionals at Bob's. The Retail Sales Trainers are responsible for and have management authority during all training classes, and thereafter serve as mentors and educators in the Bob's Discount Furniture organizational structure; ensuring associates are matriculated into the Bob's Way. Responsibilities Facilitate sales training sessions for new sales associates; assist in facilitating office associate, departmental and Management training sessions Develop, maintain and update sales training manuals and materials, while maintaining full current knowledge on all products and services Work with appropriate partners to plan training classes and conduct performance evaluations of associates and Managers while in training; determine continued employment status during training classes Train Regional Field Trainers on new and existing material and other duties as designated Execute all mandated Home Officetraining requirements and develop mentoring programs as needed Prepare and approve payroll and expense reimbursement for all associates during training classes and distribute to the Payroll Department in a timely manor Develop and effectively communicate impactful and inspirational meeting material for Store Leaders to conduct; including but not limited to: Keeping Stores abreast of knowledge regarding competitive product, strategy and sales techniques Current distribution and inventory updates Keeping Stores abreast of information concerning Advertising, Merchandising, Public Relations, Charitable contributions and Home Office objectives and initiatives Work with Store Leaders to plan and facilitate follow up and additional training sessions and communication if needed; including, but not limited to: BYOB - Building your own business, follow up with the customer through "after the sale communication" and order updates in the system Knowledge and ability to apply selling skills to key programs/categories including but not limited to; The Bob's Way, Bedding, Leather, Goof Proof Plus, Bob's Way to Pay Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 1 year+ experience in a training role Experience with training facilitation and public speaking/speaking in front of groups Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) Experience coaching and developing people of varying experience levels Proven ability to present topics and content effectively Full understanding of and competence with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Openness to extensive travel in and out of state (50-75%+) Full understanding and competence of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experience within Retail industry Experience with/exposure to different lines of furniture and/or bedding, accessories, etc. Americans Disability Act (ADA) Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance and ability to move throughout the building Stand or sit continuously to perform job functions, ability to visually be able to perform job functions Bob's Discount Furniture is a high-growth, value-priced furniture and bedding retailer based in the Northeast.
