Job Description:

The Supply Chain team is responsible for working closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality services that meet our customer's dynamic needs. Our team fosters an internal environment that thrives on utilization of the UTC ACE operating system, while coaching and supporting the supply base to ensure they meet our customer's quality standards and achieve success in their lean journey. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work in a challenging environment. The candidate should able be able to provide a high level of customer focus while meeting business objectives. The role of Continuous Improvement Engineer is both exciting & challenging. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills & the ability to build efficient working relationships across many functional groups. Strong communication skills, specifically conversational, email, telephone, & presentation, are desired. Essential Job Functions: ?? Lead or participate in continuous improvement events ?? Implementation and/or sustainability of delivery and quality clinics ?? Execute analysis tasks, evaluate key metrics (OTD, PPM, etc???), and make recommendations based on results ?? Work with subject matter experts to understand and solve problems to implement solutions ?? Participate in Root Cause Analysis and assist suppliers to develop verified solutions ?? Effectively communicate data, results, and action plans to different disciplines ?? Quality Management and Continuous Improvement Qualifications ?? 2-5 year experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment ?? Associates or higher degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing ?? Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent preferred ?? Exposure to higher level Six Sigma practices and principles, Lean Manufacturing, Process Development, Material Flow Solutions, Materials or Strategic Planning is not required but highly preferred ?? Familiarity of lean tools such as 5s, process mapping, five whys, fishbone diagrams, logic/fault trees, and mistake proofing ?? Experience with managing schedules, budgets, tasks, and customer expectation preferred - required to actively manage tasks ?? Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel and Power Point required Personal Work Attributes ?? Familiarity or interest with the Aero Engines industry preferred ?? Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, and organized ?? Excellent verbal and written communication skills ?? Excels in dynamic environment ?? Methodically solve tasks to ensure all deliverables are met efficiently and effectively ??
