Job Information:

CT Certification Elementary Education 013 or 305

Demonstrated proficiency on the PRAXIS II Subtest 4 (Science) for Elementary Education certification

* Ability to deliver engaging science lessons;

* Ability to embed inquiry into instruction;

* Effective training, presentation, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills;

* Ability to handle multiple priorities and competing demands within time constraints.

Job Responsibilities:

* Coordinate, market and implement real-world STEAM experiences for students, e.g., Science

* Fair/Invention Convention, Robotics, etc.

* Provide families with STEAM updates/activities;

* Participate in STEAM curriculum development, e.g., Curriculum Academy; and

* Participate in elementary STEM meetings, K-12 science vertical team meetings and other PLCs.

Examples of other Job Responsibilites:

* Coordinate school science fair, provide after-school Science Fair/Invention Convention guidance as needed, and attend school and district science fair annually;

* Collaborate in PLCs with Certified Staff, e.g., Teachers, Numeracy/Literacy

* Coaches, Library/Media/Technology Specialist, and administrator, etc. (as needed); and

* Perform other duties in line with the responsibilities of the position as assigned by Director of Teaching and Learning of STEAM
