We're looking for a social media savvy, news enthusiast to join our Global Media Bureau team. We support a wide range of communications activities, including communication through traditional and non-traditional marketing avenues. If you're a college student and you think you've got what it takes, we'd love to hear from you.

This internship offers a hands-on learning opportunity within a cross-functional Communications team at a global Fortune 50 company. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work closely with external digital agencies, to plan, develop and implement targeted social media and public relations plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with the development of creative, strategic digital content to help drive engagement on UTC HQ social media channels and support specific business initiatives. The selected intern will be responsible for drafting communications plans, writing press releases, contributing to monthly reports, monitoring news worldwide, as well as attending interviews and providing on-site support for key events. Additional responsibilities may include collaborating with the UTC video studio on filming, production and editing of internal and external videos.

Qualifications Must be computer savvy and have experience using Microsoft Office. A desire to learn other communications skills and tools is also a plus.

Candidates must be motivated self-starters who meet deadlines, maintain steady performance under pressure, and possess the ability to multi-task. Candidates also must have solid writing and editing skills and strong attention to detail. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, social media platforms and Internet searching is a plus Education Undergraduate student with a minimum of 48 completed credit hours.
