Job Description:

FT role available. Some nights and weekends may be required. Job purpose: Ensures that our patients are well cared for and feel like a part of the family when they arrive in our office for treatment. Duties and responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Check patients in using a friendly tone and ensure a positive experience by remaining helpful and polite during the interaction;Provide paperwork for patient completion and enter data into practice management system; ensure necessary signatures have been provided;Verify insurance eligibilities and frequencies;Enter the insurance breakdown, per employer;Ensure the waiting room is neat, clean and ready for patients;Keep reception area clean and dust free; wipe down phones, computer and mouse at the end of your shift;Schedule appointments for patients and confirm appointments two days in advance and again a day in advance;Prep all charts the day before the patient's arrival;Perform recalls daily to ensure full schedule for the next day; schedule six months in advance;Prepare day sheets at the end of each day;Answer phones in a polite and courteous manner, with a smile on your face; take appropriate messages or route the call accordingly;Assist doctors and co-workers with non-clinical tasks, as requested;Perform quality work within deadlines, with or without direct supervision;Interact professionally with employees, patients and suppliers;Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments;Work independently with the understanding that it's necessary to communicate and coordinate work effectively;Maintain kitchen, break room, rest rooms and other areas as assigned. Qualifications: Job qualifications include:Experience working with medicaid insurance is a plusHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred1-2 years previous experience in a front desk environment preferred; healthcare environment preferredComputer literacy required (to assist with scheduling patients and other tasks as assigned)Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsFocus on outstanding customer serviceWell organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-taskBilingual is a plus Working conditions and Physical requirements Must possess ability to work in a standard office environment and use standard office equipment; ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds; ability to sit, stand and walk; ability to climb a step-stool and a ladder. Ability to see and hear in normal ranges, with or without correction.
