Job Title: -- Project Coordinator

Job Summary: --

The ideal project coordinator will be integral to a Welsbach team that is currently working on a high profile project. He or she will be responsible for guiding, organizing, and managing project activities and document control under the direction of the Project Manager (PM).


Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Communicate relevant project information to the project team and Owner effectively and accurately.

* Assist PM's and team in drafting and issuing project documents such as contract documents, submittals, RFI's, change orders, budgets, schedules, etc.

* Submit and track submittals and RFI's between the vendors and subcontractors for approval.

* Attend and represent Welsbach at meetings with numerous entities, including but not limited to: internal team meetings as well as coordination meetings with the Owner, subcontractors/vendors, participate in design and construction coordination meetings internally and externally as needed.

* Coordinate with prime vendors and subcontractors regarding the project's activities and milestones.

* Negotiate and maintain relations with vendors and subcontractors.

* Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project's plan, work hours, budgets, and expenses; ensure Welsbach and its subcontractors' activities are incorporated into weekly project schedule.

* Support Project Manager with electrical project establishment and closeout.

* Promote Welsbach safety goals and the culture of safety on the jobsite.


* 3 - 5 years of experience.

* Candidate should have an engineering and/or construction management background.

* Electrical engineering is preferred, but civil engineering may also be considered.

* A degree in engineering, business administration and/or related field, or a combination of education and experience.

* Knowledge of project documentation such as contract and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications as well as scheduling and engineering principals. A basic understanding of accounting and cost control procedures.

Computer Skills:--

Demonstrated proficiency and direct experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel applications. Working knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project desirable.
