Lead the strategy, implementation and analysis for direct marketing initiatives across the residential market. Responsible for the flawless execution of direct mail campaigns from inception through post campaign analysis. Develop and maintain the direct mail budget. Recommend, plan and execute direct mail and email campaigns that are effective, on time, and on budget. Requires a successful track record of managing direct marketing projects, strong project management skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead.


Lead the execution of strategy and tactics for all national direct marketing campaigns enterprise wide to drive sales and results across all product lines.

Forecast direct marketing performance, identify opportunities to improve results, enhance contact strategy or extend reach. Meet or outperform defined response targets for direct marketing programs inclusive of acquisition and customer upgrade.

Track and analyze response and conversion to drive direct marketing efficiencies and effectiveness.

Manage and evaluate direct marketing campaigns tests for format, messaging, targeting, and cadence

Drive marketing ROI through innovative production and process improvements. Create, adjust or maintain processes to ensure flawless but flexible execution, driving down expenses and reducing speed to market.

Build, manage, and report on expense budget.

Manage vendors (relationships, legal agreements, invoicing and payment, vendor actions that impact the Spectrum brand and customer experience) and drive vendor performance, maximizing response and minimizing expense.

Manage a high-performing, dedicated team of direct marketing experts that can provide Charter with world class experience, knowledge, execution and overall marketing leadership.

Collaborate with teams across marketing and the entire organization to recommend, develop and execute successful direct mail campaigns.

Leverage post campaign analysis to identify campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improved messaging, segmentation, formatting and timing.


Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Expertise in direct marketing (especially direct mail and email) with knowledge of production processes, key performance metrics and measurement methodologies

Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically

Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer

Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and develop recommendations autonomously

Ability to manage all phases of multiple projects from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy

Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties in a fast paced environment

Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise

Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience

Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure

Ability to manage and foster change


Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience
