Servicing and Quality Control Administrator Position Summary: The Servicing Compliance and Development Officer applicant must possess knowledge of the loan process with the legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the mortgage industry. The applicant must demonstrate professional oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude. In addition, the applicant should have strong organizational and accuracy skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and have the ability to work in a team environment. The applicant must be able to consistently meet deadlines and have effective time management skills. Duties The Servicing Compliance and Development Officer will assist the President of Servicing in the development and implementation of the Servicing Department. This will include the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to:GNMA Guidance & ComplianceCFPB Guidance & Compliance Interpret Policy & Procedure/ Management/Monitoring/AuditVendor Management/AuditsFHA Claim Compliance (NSC Interaction) TRS - Tier Ranking System Compliance (NSC Interaction)Collection Training and Compliance / AuditsDefault Management Compliance (NSC Interaction)Attorney Network Approval/ComplianceEscrow Compliance/Audits Internal/ExternalSFDMS Compliance/AuditsWaterfall Compliance/AuditsState Specific Mandated Default Letter ComplianceFederal Mandated Default Letter complianceAssist in helping to write Guide for Sub-Servicing for othersEVARS - Audit/Compliance checks for ExtensionsCash Management /Audits (MIP,Daily,1098 yearly, Claims)Mailroom workflow Policy & proceduresImaging workflows and compliance auditsAssist compliance with yearly HMDA reportingCompiles audit findings, develop recommendations for areas of improvement and write reports documenting findingsMake suggestions for improvement of audits, including but not limited to automated auditing and reporting to executive management your resultsFollow up on recommendations for modifications and improvements to systems and procedures.FHA guideline change and maintenance to all areas within ServicingFannieMae and FreddieMac change and maintenance to all areas within Servicing.State and Federal Regulatory maintenance in all areas of ServingCommunicate with IT and project managers for system specific changesMonitor all state and federal agency and regulatory reporting requirements.CHFA Servicing experiencePolicy and Procedure MaintenanceInternal and external audit control and reconciliations In addition to the above tasks relevant to the development of the Servicing Department, the Servicing Compliance and Development Officer will perform the following functions for the Legal and Compliance Department:Management of the Company's Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) compliance program, including preparation, auditing, and submission of required HMDA reports, and ensuring the company remains in compliance with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to HMDA; and develop and implement the Company's wholesale/broker approval and monitoring program, in conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer. The position is not limited to the duties described above; additional tasks and/or projects may be assigned as needed by Company management. Educational Requirement: Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalentLaw degree (JD or equivalent) preferredMust possess excellent written and verbal communication abilitiesPrior mortgage industry experience requiredFamiliarity and prior experience with servicing and collections procedures preferred Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to use current software package such as Microsoft Word and Excel.Must be to send and receive email using Microsoft Outlook.Must be able to use general office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and personal computers.Must be able to learn and use servicing software properly including all reporting and recording of daily activities within the servicing software and other Government agency platforms under the premise that all FHA, HUD, CFPB, FDCPA and GNMA compliance guidelines are updated and reporting as well as recording the daily activities is not limited to the above mentioned agencies. Language Skills Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, and have the ability to speak, understand, and communicate well with customers and personnel.
