Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Magnet School Operations, the Magnet School Project Specialist provides support to the magnet school office on various initiatives and is primarily responsible for the marketing/recruitment and outreach for our Magnet schools. Analysis and collection of statistical data is also a critical job function for measuring success of our students and schools and also aiding in our recruitment and compliance efforts. Principal Responsibilities:Marketing, Recruitment & Outreach:Develop long-term and measureable strategies for magnet schools outreach and recruitment:Create a detailed calendar of recruitment activitiesFormalize the marketing survey process and data analysisCoordinate with Communications and individual magnet schools in order to implement a strategy for outreachConduct a formal marketing analysis to address key opportunity areas from each lottery yearWork with Communications to develop Marketing campaign for each school to address key areas of recruitmentMaintain the schools websites and social media pages to create a uniform and consistent message- ensure all content reflects the school and is updated regularlyCoordinate with schools on RSCO fairs/ info sessions and attend them on a regular basis to get feedback on surveys Data Collection and Research:Develop and collect data for magnet schools dashboard to measure key performance metrics:Measure Program effectiveness in the schoolsStudent success and achievement (including future successes of CTRA graduates)Analyze the alignment between recruiting strategies and school/student success with marketing spend Lottery and Registration:Refine the process to monitor lottery results, registration and enrollment on an ongoing basis:Analysis of round by round lottery seat declarationsMonitoring of changes in registration and budgetary implications of these changesCommunication with all stakeholders around these processes, etc. Operations:Assist Director with overall operations of the magnet schoolsTransportation: Coordinate with East Hartford and CREC and schools on various issuesGoodwin Choice lottery product-liaison with Clients and CCATGoodwin choice contract and BillingRepresent Goodwin at the Regional School Choice Office for RSCO recruiting fair committeesMinutes/legal postings for newly formed Board of Directors meetings for Magnet schoolsOther assignments as they evolve Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing or Education with 2 years of relevant experience preferably in Marketing and data analysis. Knowledge of standard office practices within a school or college environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills, skill in information gathering and monitoring, ability to asses and solve problems, attention to detail and accuracy, initiative, flexibility and confidentiality. Initiative:Duties in this position are relatively diversified requiring a wide knowledge of the College and/or department as well as key outside contacts.This position has been evolving as the magnet schools continue to develop and grow.The candidate will need to be able to recognize where there is initiative and pursue it. Candidate must be able to work independently under the supervision of the Director of Magnet School Operations. Responsibility:This position requires the candidate to be able to take full responsibility for marketing and recruiting of students for magnet school openingsThis is critical to have enough revenue to support our programs. They will also need to be able to further develop a data collection system and analyze that data for important metrics on student/school performance.
