Job Description:

LADC or CAC REQUIRED for this position This is a collaborative project with the Connecticut Mental Health Center. The ACT Team utilizes a person-center, recovery-Based approach that provides services for people diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness, through; (1) assertive outreach; (2) mental health and peer support services; (3) vocational assistance; (4) education concerning family issues; and (5) information to develop wellness skills. Services are provided by mobile, multi-disciplinary teams in community settings. Position Summary - Services as a resource to other ACT team members regarding substance abuse approaches. Must have knowledge related to substance abuse and with clients who have co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse problems. Must have knowledge of principles of harm reduction and motivational enhancement, strong clinical engagement skills, and will carry a case load; maintaining responsibility to clinical and case management activities with assigned clients.EOE Requirements Master's Degree with 3 years' experience and a Licensed Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor. Additional certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration preferred. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday with flexible hours 8:30-4:30 and10:30-6:30.
