Job Description:

Responsible for the overall design, development and delivery of Sales Training programs to meet the needs of United Rentals sales and sales management teams. Work with Sales Leadership and the Director, Training to identify training/development needs and implement solutions for both new hire and existing Outside and Inside Sales Representatives/Sales Associates. The Manager-Sales Training and Development is accountable for communicating required sales training to all new and experienced Outside and Inside Sales Representatives/Sales Associates and ensuring that all training requirements are met in the appropriate time frame.Develop and Deliver formal programs to meet the specific training/development needs of Outside and Inside Sales Reps/Sales Associates Sales 101 Training for New Hires Advanced Sales Programs Inside Sales Rep training Sales Coaching Topics for training include, but not limited to: Negotiation Skills Territory Management Closing Sales Managing the Sales Process Large Account Management Develop and Deliver formal programs to meet specific training/development needs of Branch and District Managers related to Sales and Sales Management. Work with Sales and Regional leaders as well as the appropriate tools and data to identify training and development needs among Outside/Inside Sales Reps and sales managers. Partner with other trainers to ensure that all sales team members are fluent in necessary systems such as Sales Force Automation and mobile rate applications. Track training through use of Enterprise Learning Management System and communicate training requirements and reporting to sales representatives. Direct, develop and mentor staff: Provide direction to staff to increase their ability to positively impact the business and achieve desired results. Ensure staff has exposure to business process and market conditions through field visits and other opportunities. Initiate career development and training plans. Establish goals and assess performance in a timely manner. Foster an atmosphere and environment of collaboration, teamwork and open communication
