About the Opportunity A medical center in New York City is actively seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing staff as their new Director of Maternal Child Health. In this role, the Director of Maternal Child Health (RN) will be responsible for the clinical and administrative management of the following patient care units comprising of Labor & Delivery, Mother / Baby, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Pediatrics. Company Description Medical Center Job Description The Director of Maternal Child Health (RN) will be responsible for: * Providing leadership and oversight of staff for the Maternal Child Health Units * Coordinating collaborative interdisciplinary strategies for Joint Commission preparation and processes for ongoing compliance to regulatory standards * Providing safe practices for patients in all aspects of patient care activities for Maternal Child Health * Provision of patient / family centered Maternal Child Health care services from admission, stabilization, operative interventions, and discharge processes Required Skills * 3+ years of Acute Care and Leadership experience in the area of Maternal Child Health * Masters Degree in Nursing or related field * NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license * BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification * Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification * Knowledge of OB/GYN, NICU, Pediatrics, Maternal-Child, Management, Labor and Delivery and Budgeting * Exceptional assessment, clinical, and documentation skills * Solid analytical and critical thinking skills * Great interpersonal skills * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong attention to detail * Highly organized * Able to multitask efficiently and effectively Desired Skills * EFM and Board Certification
