Company Description Healthcare Facility Job Description The Ambulatory Nurse (RN) will be responsible for: * Interacting directly with patients in a clinical capacity to assess needs; developing and managing appropriate treatment plans; and, coordinating care and access to clinical services, as needed * Performing appropriate patient education and training as it pertains to prognosis, care management, treatment and the use of specific maintenance drugs, including those that are self-administered * Maintaining and participating as a member of crash cart team during all emergency procedures * Assisting the Physician in any procedure that requires the attendance of a registered nurse or as needed * Participating in the monitoring and recordkeeping of all medical support activities, including the schedule for testing of equipment, sterilization of instruments and activities aimed at meeting all regulatory and facility requirements * Participating in ongoing training of medical support personnel, as needed or directed * Performing routine triage tasks, vital sign recording and monitoring and nursing assessment * Completing or arranging for the completion of various logs and forms * Giving patients medication and fluids via injection * Monitoring patients; managing their tubing; maintaining arterial catheters; and, staying aware of potential drug complications Required Skills * 2+ years of Nursing experience in an Ambulatory setting * Associate's Degree in Nursing * NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license * Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills * Patient oriented * Great interpersonal skills * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong attention to detail * Highly organized Desired Skills * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
