Company Description Health System Job Description The Quality Improvement Director (RN): * Designs, initiates, and oversees quality assessment and performance improvement programs, based on the application of continuous improvement principles and best practices, in collaboration with home care leadership * Participates in the development of goals and objectives for the Home Care Quality Improvement Program for Home Care * Creates and manages reporting and analysis of multiple quality performance indicators * Presents findings to management, staff and the governing body * Promotes efforts to improve access to information and the ability of clinical staff at all levels to use data to generate changes and improvement * Measures, analyzes and tracks quality performance indicators to enable program-wide assessment of processes of care, services and operations * Identifies trends and areas of opportunity; recommends solutions; and leads implementation of changes * Serves as a consultant to senior leadership and internal service delivery management in the areas of quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives * Evaluates the impact of industry and regulatory changes on Quality Improvement programs and recommends appropriate and necessary changes * Ensures program services and operations are in compliance with federal, state and accrediting organization requirements and professional standards Required Skills * BSN * Active New York State Registered Nurse license * 6+ years' experience in clinical quality improvement, performance measurement, and systems analysis * Experience in a home or community-based healthcare organization * 3+ years of supervisory experience * Knowledge of health care delivery systems, patient care and clinical processes * Knowledge of clinical quality assessment, improvement and data analysis techniques * Ability to perform statistical/quantitative analysis * Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, develop project plans with corporate wide impact, and work in team groups * Proficient with personal computers, including Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Desired Skills * MSN * Proficiency in the field of training and staff development
