Company Description Medical Center Job Description The Per Diem Pediatrics Nurse (RN) will: * Participate in developing and implementing goals and in evaluating progress toward the goals * Assist Manager with staffing plans, develops work schedules for center employees to ensure appropriate staffing levels and staffing mix are maintained * Identify areas of patient care requiring standards and protocol * Ensure safe and professional patient care by expecting and monitoring compliance to professional standards, identifying clinical and educational needs of staff * Recommend methods for improving staff competence and patient care and assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs * Participate in the CQI process for Pediatrics by identifying patient care issues and assisting in implementing PI monitors inclusive of internal audits, as well as, quality assurance audits for numerous managed care companies * Maintain departmental reports and records and collects statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes * Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards Required Skills * 2+ years of experience working with the Pediatric population * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing * NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license * Previous experience in an Acute Care setting * Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills * Patient oriented * Great interpersonal skills * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong attention to detail * Highly organized * Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
