Company Description Medical Center Job Description The Employee Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will: * Ensure the effective delivery of competent care to assigned patients * Assist with all procedures performed in the Pediatrics Department * Take the nursing history, summarize data, and state nursing diagnoses and patient care needs * Observe and record signs, symptoms, and behaviours * Execute plan of care for all assigned patients; safely and properly administer medications and treatments * Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures * Document nursing care in all assigned patient records * Maintain patient's privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times * Evaluate care given, including the patient response * Reassess and document any proposed revision of care and desired outcomes * Perform related and other duties, as required Required Skills * 1+ year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) * NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) * Employee Health background * Previous Phlebotomy experience * Familiar with the AORN standards for Peri-operative Nursing with regard to sterility, aseptic techniques, and Infection Control management * Microsoft Office/Suite proficient * Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills * Patient oriented * Great interpersonal skills * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong attention to detail * Highly organized Desired Skills * Phlebotomy certification
