About the Opportunity An outpatient federally qualified health center (FQHC) is actively seeking a self-motivated and compassionate Adult / Family Nurse Practitioner (ANP / FNP), with a strong internal medicine background, for a promising opportunity on their staff caring for HIV patients. In this role, the HIV Adult / Family Nurse Practitioner will provide primary medical care to a panel of adult patients and assess and manage acute conditions, including STDs, URIs, etc. Apply today! Company Description Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Job Description The HIV Adult / Family Nurse Practitioner (ANP / FNP) will: * Provide basic mental health screening and treatment of non-emergent mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression * Evaluate patients in a timely manner * Evaluate patients in an ambulatory clinic setting five days a week (and at least 40 hours per week) * Participate in night and weekend call * Complete charting in EMR (eClinicalWorks) and required clinical and billing paperwork in a timely manner * Practice medical care within the scope of license, training and credentialing and in accordance with current standards of care and quality criteria * Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; attend team/clinic/Agency meetings * Serve as mentor to less senior NPs * Participate in clinic-wide Quality Improvement program, peer review and chart audits * Participate in appropriate maintenance of certification/continuing medical education * Participate in patient education/recruitment activities * Maintain confidentiality of patient care and agency operations at all times Required Skills * Active Adult and/or Family Nurse Practitioner license * Strong primary care background * Prior community health experience * Strong clinical skills and knowledge * Patient-oriented Desired Skills * Prior experience caring for HIV and Transgender patients * Bilingual, English and Spanish
