Description of Work

The City of Norwalk, Recreation and Parks Department has an immediate need for an Event Coordinator. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the showings of the many rental facilities for events such as conferences, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, baby or bridal showers and business meetings in the Norwalk area.

Responsibilities will include:

* Organizing showings ofthe many rental facilities in a cost efficient manner

* Available the day of the event at the facility (ie. wedding at the mansion)

* Must be available for weekends and evening hours

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to follow oral and written instructions andcommunicate effectively bothorally and in writing. Ability to deal effectively with others, including the public, and co-workers.

Minimum Qualifications
