About the Position

The Clinical Nurse Educator will proactively engage with physician offices, build ongoing relationships, and provide education to healthcare professionals to enhance a patient's progress in their healthcare journey. The Clinical Educator will work with area sales force partners to manage and grow a territory assigned to them. This role will introduce product and disease state support programs and patient education and empowerment strategies to designated office staff, as well as articulate the value and benefits of those programs to assigned offices.

The Clinical Nurse Educator will proactively introduce and schedule trainings, utilize professional skills and clinical experience to train healthcare professionals on a product prescribed for women with metastatic breast cancer. The educator will follow up continuously with offices to evaluate ongoing needs. The Clinical Nurse Educator will engage and communicate effectively with all VMS and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for training on pre-approved curriculum to a variety of audiences including, but not limited to breast oncology centers, oncology physicians, office staff, and other health care professionals

* Develops a strategy and call plan for assigned territory

* Understand and encourage safe initiation, patient support processes, and strategies to assist with patient confidence on a prescribed therapy

* Anticipate and address HCP needs and create an awareness of educator services; collaborate with stakeholders to continue to build education opportunities within assigned territory

* Build relationships with client sales representatives, healthcare providers, office staff, local nurse educators, and VMS corporate stakeholders

* Advise on industry insights and innovative approaches to patient education

* Ensure all activities are conducted in a manner that is compliant with all VMS, client, and industry mandated rules and regulations

* Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

* Licensed healthcare professional (minimum RN) with strong oncology background; OCN or OCN eligible required

* Recent solid tumor experience

* HCP and/or Patient education experience

* Desire to self-manage assigned territory; strong goal/metric orientation and a bias for action; comfortable devising a plan to generate activities

* Experience working for or contracting with pharmaceutical preferred

* Understands "business ownership" mentality

* Demonstrated presentation and training experiences to multiple audiences

* Proven adaptability to changing business demands and product relevance in a fast paced environment

* Competent and comfortable utilizing technology, including tablets, projectors, etc.

* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products

* Eligible to participate in federal healthcare programs or in federal procurement or non-procurement programs

Additional Requirements

* Ability to travel in assigned territory, including overnight

* Must maintain any required clinical credentials

* Must maintain a valid driver's license
