Ideal Candidate: Will possess an investment background preferably in non-profit investment management with knowledge across asset classes; have a deep investment expertise in at least one area of investment management; will have been responsible for investment management of one or more large portfolio(s); and, will possess skills to help close outsourcing business opportunities. Must possess the ability to manage a Committee meeting, facilitate discussion and aide in decision making.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Chief Investment Officer function for non-profit institutions including policy formulation, asset allocation recommendations, portfolio construction, tactical rebalancing, specialized analysis, and portfolio management, evaluation, analysis and oversight of client portfolios.
  • Contribute to the constant improvement of Commonfund's OCIO business in an evolving and competitive marketplace.
  • Work with all members of the Solutions group and Investment Teams to share best practices and mentor secondary contacts on accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with Investment, Asset Allocation and Sales teams across Commonfund to deliver investment solutions for clients.
  • Increase Commonfund visibility within market segment through industry and association presentations and participation; Share responsibility to increase assets under management and revenues to Commonfund; and assist in planning sales activities to create business opportunities and participate as content expert.
  • Manage quarterly reporting process, including overseeing client performance calculation and written analysis. Conduct month-end portfolio reviews and rebalance client portfolios, taking into consideration liquidity needs, risk and return objectives and client preferences.
  • Use analytic tools to educate and emphasize Commonfund's consultative sales approach for new and existing client organizations, such as WPA; The Flux Capacitor, and Commonfund Benchmarks Study to Perform Comparative Asset Allocation Studies. Generate asset allocation recommendations for current and prospective institutions by using same models.
