Talent Acquisition Coordinator
As a strategic partner, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator aligns business objectives with staffing needs to bring in the best talent for the organization. The TAC serves as a consultant to management on talent related services. Their primary focus is on sourcing, interviewing, and recruiting qualified talent to the organizations open positions. The TAC maintains an effective level of business literacy about their assigned business units' financial position, mid-range plans, culture and talent management needs.
- Perform and coordinate all aspects of the recruiting and hiring cycle for clinical professionals and support staff in assigned areas, including but not limited to posting and advertising approved open-positions, review applications, conduct behavioral based interviews to screen applicants to match experience with specific job related requirements, and provide input during selection process. Work collaboratively with hiring managers and HR staff.
- Ensure proper background checks are conducted on selected candidates and that all tasks associated the selection process, job offers and the hiring process are conducted in complete, accurate and timely manner. Maintain proper documentation and records. Follow-up to applicants not selected.
- Develop strategies, programs and processes that will help to ensure attraction and retention of high quality staff; attend job fairs as appropriate.
- Develop and manage the HR department recruiting budget to ensure that expenses stay on or under budget.
- Develop and maintain strategic alliances with local colleges, universities and professional organizations to aid in the attraction of quality job candidates and internships.
- Enhance and maintain content for the Saint Mary's web site Career Portal, as well as those on social media.
- Train and support management staff as it relates to the recruiting and hiring process, including developing skills in behavioral interviewing methods and peer interviewing with their staff.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit workforce planning, succession planning and unit restructures.
- Performs related duties as required.
Two years of clinical and/ or full life cycle recruiting experience, preferably in an acute care setting required. Working knowledge of other human resource disciplines including staff relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws preferred. Bachelor Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related area strongly preferred. Certified Health Care Recruiter (CHCR), SHRM-CP and/or PHR preferred.
