OverviewParticipate in researching, designing and developing the Men's Graphic Tee product / Assist in CAD pattern work for Men's print/patternResponsibilities:ResearchParticipate in the development of initial concepts for your assigned commodity

Research trends, shop stores

Research fabrics, yarns and trims, partner with Fabric R&D and Production

Research key silhouettes and trends for your commodityDesignDesign collection pieces that reflect the trends and the aesthetic of the Club Monaco brand, based on Vice President's direction

Prepare spec packages for Product Development and Technical teams including construction details, front and back view sketches, fabrications, trim sheets and critical measurements

Illustrate collection and scan images

Prepare line sheets and presentation boards, keep updated throughout the season

Assist in coloring and pass color to Product Development team upon Vice President approval

Pass specs to Product Development and Technical teams in-line with Corporate calendarDevelopment/Follow-upWork closely with Sr. Designer overseeing the knits category and the Men's seasonal print / pattern boards

Review samples and provide fit comments to Product Development and Technical teams with Sr. Designer

Review qualities, construction and/or trims to fit into necessary price points, suggesting print techniques

In conjunction with Sr. Designer, work with factories / print vendors to maintain highest level of print and graphic execution

In partnership with Sr. Designer, review merchandise plans and maintain calendar timing

Monitor sales and retail sell-through to determine successes and failures in order to build on the knowledge for future collections

Update line sheets and boards with current colors, styles and fabrications

Communicate open issues with Sr. Designer / Men's VP and work closely to resolve them

Communicate updates and changes to all business partners (Merchants, Production, Tech, Licensee)

Skills and Requirements At least 2 years experience in a design environment

Computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel

Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment

Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written

Excellent time management/project skills

Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail

Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands

Comfortable and confident in making effective autonomous (and group) decisions in a timely manner

Goal orientated: ability to stay focused on creating winning results

Detail oriented with exceptional organizational abilities

Strong illustration and flat sketching skills

Technical knowledge of fabric construction, finishes and techniques
