Industrial Engineer/Danbury: This position will provide engineering technical support for the production of precision bearings.
Individual will trouble shoot machine and tooling problems on the shop floor, and follow through with appropriate solutions.
Experience is required in the grinding and assembly of bearing components.
Automotive industry experience necessary.
Will assist in developing and implementing new procedures for cost reduction, process improvement and quality improvement.
Communication skills are essential as the individual will interact with production, engineering, quality assurance and management personnel.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Responsible for developing and optimizing the manufacturing process while working to maximize quality and minimize cost Responsible for specifying, acquiring, and starting up capital equipment Responsible for process documentation to support production Knows and understands the current specifications of the Quality Policy and Procedures and contribute to the achievement of quality objectives Qualified candidates will have: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering 5 years experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering Proficiency in package software, technical writing, and knowledge of current quality specifications Excellent communication (verbal / written) skills, attention to detail, and an ability to multi-task and work as part of a team Ability to operate a CAD terminal Highly self motivated and possess the assertiveness to push and meet deadlines Well developed computer skills.
