Walsh is currently seeking an Regional Equipment Manager for our Equipment Operations Group in our Mid-Atlantic Region.

The Regional Equipment Manager is primarily responsible for managing all equipment related matters in the operating region to which they have been assigned, and planning and executing the following areas:

* Acquisition and Disposal

* Compliance and Risk Management

* Production Interface and Logistics

* Field Maintenance Operations

* Yard Operations

* Fleet and Asset Management

* Implementing and Enforcing the Walsh Group Equipment Policies and Procedures.

* Allocating regionally owned equipment and regional equipment support personnel (mechanics).

* Working in conjunction with Walsh Equipment Department Personnel.

* Supporting and Interacting with the regional efforts of the Equipment Department National Product Support Manager.

* Managing RA/repairs on company assets, subjects to the rules outlined in the Equipment Policy.

* Assisting Operations with PM results and support, rebates and overall compliance.

* Supporting Operations with Logistical Issues and coordinating with Equipment Department Logistics Group.

* Supervising and assigning duties to Assistant Regional Equipment Managers, Superintendents, engineers, mechanics and lube technicians.

* Overseeing regional DOT compliance and training needs.

* Overseeing regional Crane compliance and training needs.

* Manage regional schedule accuracy and future equipment needs.

* Working in conjunction with Asset Management Group Personnel.

* Manage the overall equipment safety standards as they pertain to regulatory agencies and the Walsh Corporate Safety Policy.

* Mentor, train, and work closely with job site equipment liaisons on all matters of equipment policy and equipment needs.

* Manage Equipment operations/maintenance including safety and compliance.

* Implement at each project, a Project Equipment Business plan including: Critical path fleet identification and operation plan, maintenance operation flow, staffing/scheduling plan, cost plan and project safety analysis.

* Supporting and working closely with regional Joint Venture equipment personnel, on all of the above items.


* Bachelors Degree or other related technical degree is preferred

* 10 years experience managing construction equipment fleets in a supervisory or leadership position

* Ability to work on construction jobsites (outside) and office settings

* Mobile crane inspector certification is a plus

* Rigging certification by an accredited source is a plus

* Crane assembly / disassembling experience

* Expertise in mechanical systems and repair strategies for a broad range of construction equipment including ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems

* Experience with DOT rules and regulations

* Experience with OSHA laws and other safety regulatory matters

* Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, and work order systems

* Strong communication skills

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Strong team player

* Ability to delegate when appropriate

* Self-starter

* Proven leadership skills
