* Assists cooks in the preparation of food items and prepares raw ingredients for use in recipes. Cooks using various methods to include, steaming, boiling, baking, grilling, frying, etc., and sets up meal items for both patients and cafeteria service. Ensures proper cooking temperatures are reached. Completes more complex cooking assignments under the direction of the cook or production supervisor. Sets up needed items for the patient tray line for lunch and supper meals according to pars or tallies. HS diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years food production experience required, with a minimum of 2 years hot and cold food production experience in health care facility preferred. Ability to read, write and speak and comprehend English required. Ability to perform basic math. ServSafe Certification preferred. Previous food preparation experience required.Posted by StartWire
