SM The HEDIS Tracking Application's scope within UHC continues to grow and with its growth there is more demand for database development in support of both its transactional aspects and its reporting and analytics capabilities. This application has requirements that change annually, and data sources which change annually, and this year is not an exception. With the push to assign and track chase activity by several different dimensions and the ability to manage at a health system level, there will be many changes to database objects required to support the work of the business. The eventual move to Optum HEDIS reporting will also ensure that we need more database expertise to reconfigure existing database objects and ETLs to support it while still maintaining existing annual operations for HTA. Finally, the time required to perform ongoing maintenance on database and ETL-related artifacts developed in years past and still relevant continues to grow. Positions in this function include those responsible for designing/developing, programming, and maintaining applications and solutions using primarily Microsoft development tools. You will be part of a team responsible for end-to-end business process activities - creating, controlling and developing solutions based on the needs of business clients. This position is also responsible for supporting and developing fluid and intuitive user interfaces to support Quality Improvement Programs, including HEDIS, CAHPS, accreditation, and regulatory requirements. Will make recommendations based on the analysis, and provide explanations for reporting results as needed. This position will report to the Web Development Manager. Primary Responsibilities: * Active participation in a small development team * Partner with project teams and interact with customers to find solutions for projects * Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the skills pertaining to web application development, UI design, and workflow * Troubleshoots production support issues post release deployment and come up with solutions * Ability to solve complex production issues * Provide standardization and consistency across environments * Commitment to anticipating, understanding and meeting the needs of internal and external customers Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of Web Application Development utilizing a combination of the following: C#.Net, VB.Net, ASP.NET, Web Services, VB-Script or JavaScript, HTML, XML using formal SDLC Processes * 3+ years of Web Application Development utilizing experience with a combination of the following: C#.Net, VB.Net, ASP.NET, Web Services, VB-Script or JavaScript, HTML, XML using formal SDLC Processes * 3+ years of strong User Interface (UI) Skills * 3+ years of Relational Database experience * 3+ years of SQL - knowledge writing SQL Statements, SQL Stored Procedures, select queries and update statement Preferred Qualifications: * Medical Informatics knowledge and experience * Healthcare Informatics/Analytics (compiling data, reporting and analysis) experience * SAS experience a plus * Experience writing System Requirements * Healthcare Industry experience * Proficiency in MS Access with knowledge of VBA * Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) * Proficiency with MS Visio Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
