Job Summary

Supervise and oversee the successful daily operations of the Waterbury Factory Tour operation and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Supervise Senior Tour Hosts and Tour Hosts in the successful operations of the Tour Department.

* Work with Guest Relations Manager to prepare and oversee departmental budget.

* Compile all weekly/monthly financial reports (IFS).

* Oversee the planning and hiring of a large number of seasonal staff ensuring that all provide a top quality experience for our guests and deliver exceptional customer service.

* Assist Guest Relations Manager in identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience through strategic planning and vision and evaluate options based on financial analyses, ROI and opportunity for growth.

* Oversee the development of Tour staff to maximize performance and development through the use of the Performance Development Planning (PDP) process and ongoing coaching and development.

* Identify and resolve problems from guests and staff members that effect tour operations.

* Work closely with the Marketing Department on brand image and messaging and ideas to effectively convey them throughout the Tour experience.

* Research and oversee the execution of projects that enhance the tour experience.

* Oversee the daily operations of all the tour-related events.

* Draft and execute the tour schedule on a weekly basis.

* Ensure that the Social Mission is fully integrated into all areas of the Tour.

* Oversees and maintains all social media for Waterbury Hospitality.

Key Requirements

* Minimum High School diploma or equivalent education required; undergraduate degree in a related field preferred (e.g. Hospitality/Tourism, Marketing, or Public Relations)

* 1 year of previous work experience, within the Hospitality/Tourism industry preferred

* 1 year of previous supervisory or management experience required

* Availability to work flexible work schedule including weekends is required

* Experience managing basic financial operations (e.g. reconciliations, end of shift procedures, deposits, etc.)

* Ability to provide excellent customer service

* Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

* Strong initiative, ability to work well in a collaborative, and team environment

* Drive for results and leaderships skills

* Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills

* Ability to exercise independent judgment
