Overview: Unit: Greater Hartford Areas Services, The Right Place - Sigourney (Hartford, CT)

    Leads and implements classroom instruction within an assigned classroom .

    Works in conjunction with program teaching staff and the administration to ensure adequate supplies, equipment , and resources are available.

    Assists the Administrative s taff in the development and oversight of the quality rating system for the academy to ensure the obtainment and maintenance of the highest quality credentialing.
    Reviews, provides feedback , and assesses classroom and other educational environments.

    Oversees educational environment and programming.
    Oversees the Program "response to intervention " , ensuring successful outcomes for all children and families who experience our programs including, but not limited to:

    Bachelor's degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education with at least two years' experience, preferably in either a Reggio Emilia Inspired Program.

    At least 3 years teaching experience in an early childhood education setting.

    Knowledge of State Department of Education educational standards and best practices.

    Experience in working with diverse cultures.

The Early Childhood Classroom Lead Teacher will respect and promote the interest of The Salvation Army. The individual is not required to embrace the tenets of faith, but he/she is required to promote and respect the mission of The Salvation Army and act as a loyal ambassador in the community.
