A Die Designer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization. The Die Designer is responsible for developing engineering designs for progressive, transfer dies as well as stamping and assembly processes. Qualified candidates must have 7+ years' of die design, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Solidworks. This is a direct hire role located in the Hartford, CT metro area. Some relocation may be budgeted for qualified regional candidates.
Responsibilities for the Tool Designer
- Develop blank shape and mass
- Develop progressive and transfer die layout
- Determine the number of work stations needed to create a part
- Create bill of materials
- Attend customer meeting to determine scope of products and orders
Requirements for the Tool Designer
- 7+ years' of die design
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD and Solidworks
- Must had a foundational understanding of die tear-down and assembly
- A Degree is preferred
