Our Client, a fast-growing and internationally recognized manufacturer of machines and machine solution technologies has asked Hallmark help them find a Sales Engineer to join their expanding team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing sales support, including evaluating customers' production processes, providing technical expertise, and identifying necessary modifications on part designs.

* Evaluate customer production processes / parts, and provide technical consultation on applications, including laser beam welding.

* Recognize optimization potential for all relevant manufacturing processes.

* Identify necessary part design changes, and consult customers on modifications to make their parts compatible.

* Organize and analyze data and drawings, and prioritize customer projects.

* Lead customer projects related to laser beam welding, prepare offers, assist with part run-offs, and demonstration. Review and process customer orders as needed.

* Collaborate with Regional Managers and Sales force to acquire machine orders.

* Maintain thorough knowledge of product line, as well as competitor product lines.

* Create and present product lectures, seminars and PowerPoint presentations.

* Provide pre-sales drawings for customers for layouts of shop floors.

* Assist with customer related special projects, prepare tender offers, assist with part run-offs.

* Support other company divisions on sales projects as needed.

* Assist with product trade shows and events as needed.

* Collect and maintain current knowledge of competitors' machines.

* Travel (mostly domestic) up to 25%.

* Review and process customer orders as needed.


* At least 2 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Applications, or Engineering is required.

* Background in manufacturing, with sheet metal welding experience, is preferred.

* Experience developing and conducting effective presentations on technical topics.

* Must be well organized, self-directed, and able to work independently.

* Strength with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

* Technical proficiency is a must.

* Must be productive and flexible, able to meet deadlines.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
