**General Summary:**
To machine precision aerospace components according to customer specifications while adhering to specific quality, production, and scheduling requirements.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
Machine operators set-up and operate CNC Milling Machine Centers as well as select tooling and fixtures according to engineering specifications (written in English) or work instructions. Run similar jobs of short cycle times for extended periods of time where manufacturing processes are stable and do not require frequent change. Operate more than one machine at a time, one to two machines depending on the nature of the job and its complexity, occasionally operating more than two machines depending on operator skill and familiarity with a given job. Operators are expected to read and interpret engineering instructions, travelers, etc. proficiently and possess good verbal and written communication skills, as well as, good math skills. Read and interpret blue prints and be familiar with geometric tolerances and principles. Operators must have good interpersonal skills and work well with colleagues, supervision and management. Must be open to performing routine maintenance on assigned production equipment, i.e., maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery, check fluids and alert maintenance personnel and/or supervisor of malfunctions. Operate lifting and handling equipment such as hand truck, pallet jack, or overhead hoist to maneuver in-process or finished components to desired location.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:**

1. Operate Haas or other similar CNC multi-axis machining centers with Haas or similar computer controls.
2. Set-up components on CNC machining centers according to engineering specifications, instructions, and operation sheets.
3. Willing and capable of operating more than one machine simultaneously and selecting appropriate cutting tools, fixtures and tool holders for a given job.
4. Knowledgeable of in-process inspection techniques, standards, and requirements. Able to use and interpret precision measuring devises such as micrometers, verniers, and various hand tools, i.e., gages to verify the accuracy of dimensional characteristics of components.
5. Knowledge of metal characteristics in a production setting is desirable.
6. Knowledge of programming codes is helpful.
**Education & Experience Required:**

1. Possess three (3) to five (5) years CNC milling machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Ability to perform essential duties.
3. Fully capable of reading, understanding, and following work instructions in English.
4. Ability to lift or transfer components or objects of no more than 30 pounds.
5. Hold a high school diploma or GED.
**Working Conditions:**
Light industrial work setting. Job involves lifting up to 30lbs. in a manufacturing environment that may occasionally require the employee to work in a number of awkward positions.
