Job Overview:

Responsible for growing sales and sales strategy for a territory for Crosstex/SPSmedical products to hospitals, small hospital systems, Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Clinic's while working with our distribution partners in the assigned geographic territory. Territory will include Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Call points will include, Sterile Processing, Surgical Services, GI labs and Materials Management for successful conversion opportunities as well as supporting distribution salesforce. Emphasis is on gaining new Crosstex/SPSmedical customers by utilizing existing national GPO agreements, current customer and distributor relationships and ensuring high quality service to both the end-user and distributor customer to obtain and support the sale. This will be done by following departmental policies and procedures, with an emphasis on sales growth. Must be able to manage time and workload effectively to ensure all current customers and prospective customers are serviced while maintaining and up-to-date level of product and procedural knowledge Includes account management in assigned territories.

Main Responsibilities:

* Effectively communicate with customers to develop, solicit, close new accounts and maintain existing customers utilizing existing national GPO /IDN contracts, membership lists and distribution in assigned territory.

* Identifies multi-hospital systems, ASC and multi practice opportunities, interacting with Director of Sales to develop plan of action.

* Reviews and uses sales tools such as tracings and direct customer accounts for successful account management & retention.

* Maintain and increase existing customers in assigned territory.

* Responsible for sales quotations, sample requests, as well as appropriate follow-up opportunities activities to generate the sales in territory.

* Works with local and national distribution to service and expand customer base within all medical channels.

* Works with distribution partners in assigned territory to bring product into stock for new customer conversion and business growth.

* Handles customer inquiries, technical questions and/or complaints.

* Strategically attends state, regional and national conferences as well as involvement in local CS and SGNA chapters.

* Travels in designated territory when necessary.

* Educates customers on best practices for sterilization and high level disinfection using consultative selling methods.

* Ability to speak on sterilization and infection control topics to local and regional audiences (both 60 and 90 minute programs)

* Demonstrates ability to perform product in-services on all Crosstex/SPSmedical products at hospitals, (both sterile processing and OR departments) surgery centers, CHC and large multi group practices.

* Will maintain all requirements necessary for vender credentialing and physical access to customers.

* Performs other related duties or assignments as requested.


* BA or BS degree in business or related Healthcare field

* 3+ Years of sales experience in a related field

* Familiarity with acute care, surgery center and large physician markets.

* Able to travel extensively to provide customer support and Sales Consultant development.

* Strong presentation skills and confidence.

* High level of proficiency in relevant software programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and automated sales forms/tools.

* Understanding of healthcare distribution recommended
