Job Description:

Financial Controls & Finance Transformation LeaderAerospace/ Defense / Manufacturing Hartford, CT Base Salary + Full Benefits + Bonus + Paid RelocationThis unique role supports both the international activities related to Financial Controls and Finance Transformation. This opportunity will allow the selected candidate to have exposure to multiple business units and the ability to make meaningful business process improvements and changes.Support finance controls activities related to the development and coordination of a comprehensive business controls program for our firm worldwide that will ensure preparedness for audits and other internal control requirements.Support the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) certification process working closely with the Accounting and Controls Team (ACT) and the Business Controls office ensuring completeness of all requirements of the Corporation.Support Finance Transformation activities impacting the business unit.In this role the candidate will work with both Corporate and the operating units of in transitioning finance activities to a shared services environment.This project based activity will vary depending on the nature of the projects taking place during the year.Current projects domestically include implementation of the intercompany tool IMS and internationally the Concur travel and expense reporting tool. Duties and Responsibilities:•Complete various Business Controls reporting and review requirements.•Participation on the Controls Council.•Provide assistance to the Controller and Assistant Controllers as required.•Participation in Accounting Control Assessment reviews.•Support FT projects from start to finish including management of Passport activities and coordination between business units.• Must be able to work independently and across multiple organizations.•Project management and organization skills are key element of success in this role.•Responsible for the completion of other tasks related to this position as assigned by management.•Approximately 15- 25% travel (approximately) Skills and CertificationsCPA preferred with experience auditing Manufacturing businesses4-8 years relevant experience in the area of accounting / auditing.Public accounting auditing experience a plus.Project management and organization skills are key element of success in this role.Must be able to work independently and across multiple organizations.
