Job Description:

Oversee and develop best in class methodologies to support the analytical business needs of sales and marketing. The primary objective of the role is to provide the technical component of analytics that support strategic and tactical decision making in the areas of sales force and marketing effectiveness, both for in line and pre-commercial products.Responsibilities:• Guide and defend the development of statistically sound approaches to analytic projects constructed in support of sales leadership, brand teams and market access stakeholders for assigned brand(s)• Utilize analytical tools to track, report, and analyze marketing and sales information• Consult and perform ad-hoc, data-mined analysis solutions for brand teams, sales, and business development• Develop and conduct commercial mix modeling for both physicians and consumers• Design, build and run promotion response models providing insights and recommendations that optimize targeting and sampling for different customer segments• Construct customer segmentation to support brand strategy, including patient profile and other behavioral analysis• Design, build and run statistical and data mining models that explain the utility of marketing and sales programs and help forecast future outcomes. Recommend, develop, conduct, and evaluate test/control pilots as appropriate.• Design, build and run predictive models to uncover actionable insights and business opportunities• Collaborate with corporate internal, commercial partners, and vendors to conduct global, regional and local trends analysis• Continually update knowledge of industry data sources & techniques that could be used to improve commercial analysis Requirements:• BS/BA required. Advanced degree in quantitative subject (e.g. Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics) preferred• 3 years of pharmaceutical or commercial products analytical experience in a commercial operations setting.• Minimum 5 years analytical experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or consumer products industries• SAS code-writing skills (BASE, STAT, SQL, Macros) required, SQL query-writing preferred.• Commercial business intelligence tool report creation experience strongly preferred (any, but e.g.: QlikView, Tableau, Oracle BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Spotfire)• In-depth knowledge and data mining experience using secondary subnational prescription and sales data. Experience with longitudinal patient, specialty pharmacy/ hub data preferred• Experience in either commercial mix modeling or alignment, targeting, and call planning required• Experience in primary market research preferred• Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required• Presentation skills to take sophisticated analysis and apply a business context for non-analytical associates required
