Salary: $100,000 - $175,000

Required Skills Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Implement and manage engagement plans for various types of financial service clients including but not limited to:  hedge funds, mutual funds, private equity, venture capital, broker dealers, etc.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, evaluate internal controls, closely supervise staff members and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Develop reasonable time budgets and effectively monitor performance of Seniors and Staff.
  • Supervised by Senior Audit Managers, Directors and/or Partners.
  • Delegate to, supervise and evaluate Seniors and Staff.
  • Effectively manage multiple financial services engagements simultaneously as necessary.
  • Provide training and motivation to Seniors and Staff.
  • Act as a mentor to Seniors and Staff and assist with recruiting and retention.
  • Develop positive relationships with client personnel.
  • Identify potential opportunities for new and/or extended client services with financial services industry.

Required Experience

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent major
  • CPA or working towards a CPA or comparable designation
  • 5 to 10 years recent progressive public accounting experience, including 3 years supervisory experience
  • 4+ years financial service industry client experience required
  • Experience with/understanding of accounting for and valuation of multiple financial instruments, including derivatives would be ideal
  • Broker/Dealer experience a plus
  • Strong analytical, audit, retrieval (IDEA), Excel and multi-tasking skills
  • Consolidation and IFRS experience helpful
  • Excellent client service, communication and interpersonal skills
