The Business Development Analyst Role

When youjoin the Nielsen team, you're signing up for an experience that requiresflexibility, curiosity, and passion. As an Analyst you will support:

* SalesOperations activities, including:

* Capturingall opportunities from Business Development and coordinating withClient/Project Leads to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

* Creatingand managing key performance indicators using CRM data.

* Aligningreporting (e.g., monthly Operating Mechanisms, business reviews, salesforecasting, etc.) to conform to Business Unit and Corporate reportingrequirements.

* Providingad hoc data and sales analysis for leadership.

* BusinessDevelopment activities, including:

* Generatingselling materials and conducting market research to support BusinessDevelopment activities.

* Workingwith the team to create branded, custom-tailored, client-facing documents.

* LeveragingNielsen resources to develop potential customer/prospect lists, assess customerinterest, and maintain customer database of associated customer qualificationactivities.

* Executingon all sales campaigns/promotions, new product launch and other sales relatedinitiatives in-house and in the field (events/trade shows).

Key Performance Indicators

* Schedulea minimum of 5 visits or teleconferences for the Client Leads per month withqualified customers

* Createand manage sales reporting tools for use by leadership team

* Createand maintain up-to-date selling materials on all Sales Effectiveness offerings


General Skills

* Stronglogic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills

* Demonstratedability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with all levelsof the organization

* Effectivelycollaborate with internal & external teams

* Basicproject management & customer service skills

* Abilityto multi-task, work well independently and under pressure

* Strongsense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes

Background and Technical Skills

* Bachelor'sdegree required (business, sales and/or marketing preferred)

* 0-3years' experience in business development, business/sales analysis, product management,process improvement or project management

* Consumerproducts background preferred

* Experiencewith CRM tools and (strongly preferred)

* Proficientin Microsoft Office software

Location can be either Wilton, CT or Chicago, IL.
