We are seeking a Retail Store Manager with high-volume experience to manage all sales, operations, service and support activities and ensure the overall success our big box computer retail store.


* Consistently achieve store sales and profit objectives, including management of payroll expenses

* Develop and implement plans to increase profitability and reduce expenses based on P&L results

* Identify, effectively communicate and resolve store issues, informing appropriate District and Home Office personnel as needed

* Execute and participate in floor and front end leadership activities, including store open and close procedures

* Manage all freight flow and processing as well as appropriate tracking of company assets through inventory control

* Ensure the execution of ad set and visual merchandising standards

* Direct, monitor and manage staffing and training to ensure competent associates are hired, trained and scheduled to properly service our customers

* Train, develop and coach all store personnel -- from Senior Managers to front line associates -- in the areas of standard operating procedures, customer satisfaction and solution selling

* Ensure human resource issues are handled in accordance with guidelines; partner with Regional HR Manager and Home Office HR when needed

* Perform other duties and tasks as assigned



Our ideal candidate should have five to seven years of experience with a major big box retailer in a high-volume, 30,000+ square-foot store, with at least 100 employees and accountability for profit and loss. Background must include heavy emphasis on and experience in sales management, merchandising, human resources, operations and freight flow, customer service function and all other aspects of retailing. The ability to generate sales, hire, retain and coach qualified employees, execute corporate initiatives and analyze the competition are necessary functions in this position. Proven ability to drive world-class customer experiences and results through developing consultative solution selling is a must. A college degree is strongly preferred.
