**General Profile:**

As a member of New York Life's Sales Strategy & Planning Team, the responsibilities including creating & actively managing quarterly strategy initiatives in support of New York Life's Field Agency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Work with field managers (DMs and Partners), cultural markets, sales desk and others to effectively communicate and coordinate sales strategies.

* Create powerpoint presentations based on sales ideas from consultants and agents and be able to present those ideas for consideration to senior managers.

* Monitor sales results across all product lines to map sales trends and target opportunities for improvement.

* Develop and recommend creative solutions to deficits, e.g., sales concepts, initiatives, campaigns, incentives.

* Coordinate with product consultants and zone personnel as required to disseminate information in a strategic fashion.

* Create network of Field personnel to gather information, establish best practices and nurture grassroots communications efforts.

* To track and provide weekly and monthly reports on initiative.

* Support senior leadership on ad hoc project requests.

**Functional Knowledge:**

* Bachelor's degree.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills; some presentation experience (both creating and delivering).

* Ability to interact with various departments within New York Life, with people at various levels in the organization and the Field in particular agents.

* Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint

* Self-motivated individual with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

* Ability to work independently and/or as part of team.

* Knowledge of New York Life product portfolio essential.

* Strong understanding of career agency field operations and the life insurance sales process.

***Problem Solving:***

* Will analyze current & historical production reports to provide feedback and to ensure quarterly strategies are appropriate while being most effectively being promoted to the Field Agents.

* Collaborates with business units to design new incentive programs.

***Decision Making/ Nature of Impact:***

* Process decisions within the scope of this role's responsibilities will be expected.

* This role will need to be congnizant of how any procedural changes may affect otherteams and other team members.

* Decide how and when national webinars will be scheduled and what content will becovered in order to maximize the impact on agents.

* Strategize and make decisions around timing and content.

***Communication Requirements:***

* Draft communications for agents to secure their buy-in to the incentives.

* Create message that is equally appealing to DMs and Partners.

* Many of the communications developed need to appeal to fairly broad audiences.

* However, internally, diversity, cultural nuances and sometimes even language barriersneed to be taken into consideration within this role.

* A concrete understanding of team members' roles and respnsibilities will help to ensurethat the appropriate parties are notified when needed.
