We are seeking Research Associates (levels II-IV) to join the Formulation Development Group of Regeneron Pharmaceutical Inc. at Tarrytown, NY. The successful candidates will work in a state-of-the-art laboratory developing formulations for protein-based drug products and provide support to research, pre-clinical, clinical and manufacturing teams to move drugs from candidate selection and preclinical development to clinical development and commercialization. The individual will also develop analytical methods for product formulation characterization and stability testing; will participate in evaluating and developing new technologies.


• BS or MS degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science

• Industry working experience: For RA II: BS > 2 years, MS 0-2 years; For RA III: BS >5 years, MS >3 years; For RA IV: BS >8 years, MS >5 years

• Experience in analytical development, formulation development or process development environment in pharmaceutical industry

• Excellent communication skills are required

• Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented

• Enthusiasm in science with a motivation for making contributions in a team environment is necessary

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Prior protein formulation experience in early and/or late stage product development

• A strong understanding of common protein degradation pathways

• Analytical expertise with bioanalytical methods and instrumentation, such as U/HPLC-based chromatographic techniques, electrophoretic methods and particle characterization methods

• Experience with biophysical methods, such as DSC, FTIR, light scattering, UV, CD and fluorescence spectroscopy, or other biophysical characterization methods

• Prior research experiences in the areas of protein structure, stability, protein aggregation or protein solubility are highly desirable
