**General Profile:**

In partnership with the External Wholesaler, the Internal Wholesaler is responsible fordeveloping and maintaining existing relationships as well as identifying and acquiringnew business within their territory to meet sales goals for New York Life InsuranceProducts.

The Internal Wholesaler is responsible for providing insight and product knowledge viathe Sales Desk channels. In this role, you will make proactive phone calls to financialpartners to share sales ideas, provide product information, gather marketing data andoffer sales support as well as identify new sales opportunities.


* Make proactive sales calls on a daily basis with existing representatives to strengthenrelationships and find life and long term care solutions that fit with their client/prospect base.

* Fielding of inbound calls from agents in regards to long term care and life insurance sales opportunities

* Work closely with the External Consultants to develop and execute an appropriatebusiness plan to maximize territorial sales.

* Become a specialist in New York Life insurance products.

* Identify and convert book of business opportunities to help increase producing representatives.

* Utilize New York Life databases to create and maintain representative profile levelsand data on current and proposed sales activity.

* Assist in training of new associates.

***Functional Knowledge:***

* Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

* Prior insurance or investment sales experience a plus.

* Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

* Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal andcustomer service skills.

* Must have strong relationship building skills.

* Must be a detail-oriented, well organized and self starter with high energy andcreativity.

* Must be able to obtain licenses within 60 days.

* Proven ability to pay attention to detail and multitask.
